# Values under 5 minutes are ignored

_Claude Code "Stream idle timeout - partial response received"_

Claude Code raises CLAUDE_STREAM_IDLE_TIMEOUT_MS to at least 300000; smaller values have no effect.

## Do this

1. Set 300000 or more, e.g. 600000, and restart Claude Code:

**Verify:** The error stops; if it persists at 600000, the stream is probably really stalled.
