# The stream is probably really stalled

_Claude Code "Stream idle timeout - partial response received"_

**Already tried:** A healthy request was silent longer than the watchdog allows

In-thread captures showed open connections with no packets arriving. A longer timeout only makes each hang longer.

## Do this

1. Update Claude Code and use continue to resume after an interruption.

2. Check status.claude.com (one commenter saw reports continue after an incident was marked resolved).

3. Unconfirmed single reports: run fewer parallel sessions at peak hours, disable heavy MCP servers, prefer a wired connection.

**Verify:** Interruptions become rare or resumable.

**Still unknown:** Whether stalls still occur on current releases, and at what rate, is not known.
