# Update first: newer releases keep the partial response

_Claude Code "Stream idle timeout - partial response received"_

Releases since 2.1.179/2.1.199 keep completed partial output instead of discarding it; later ones word the error "The response stopped arriving. The response above may be incomplete."

## Do this

1. Update Claude Code.

2. When the error appears, reply continue to resume from the last completed block.

**Verify:** After an interruption, the partial answer stays on screen and continue resumes it.
